Ode to a toilet
Personal project inspired by one of Jenny Holzer's truisms: “The mundane is to be cherished.” (1977 – 1979) Ode to a Toilet is a personal illustration exploring the quiet significance of everyday rituals. By isolating and carefully composing a domestic bathroom scene, the piece reframes a familiar, often overlooked space as something contemplative and almost ceremonial. The work reflects on attention, intimacy, and the value of the ordinary, transforming the functional into something observed, held, and appreciated.
